This little duo of serums arrived nicely presented in a silver box, so straight off i'm thinking, nice gift.
Each little bottle has a shrink wrap plastic seal around the lid for security, both bottles are brown glass to protect the serums from damage by light exposure.
Once opened the lids each have an inbuilt glass pipette for easy dispensing. Each bottle is 1oz [ 30ml ] making them the ideal size to take with you on your holidays.
On opening the Vitamin C serum, I got a rather odd smell, not unpleasant, just not orangy, [ for some reason because it is vitamin C I expected it to smell of freshly squeezed oranges. Doh! ] The serum is cloudy and very runny, so can be easily applied, it soaks in fast and leaves no residue at all.
The Retinol Serum is quite thick and is also cloudy, because it's thicker and feels silky it easily glides onto the skin, leaving it soft and smooth with no sticky or greasy feel.
I have been using this little duo for about 2 weeks now...

I got this gift set for myself as a present for my daughter's 3 birthday as it is my party too.
Vit С serum contains a blend of Vitamins C & E, Amino, Hyaluronic, and Ferulic Acids. If you have any areas of irritation, acne, etc., you may find it stings a bit when first applied. When I first started using this product, my face felt dry and tight for about a week. I believe this was related to the acids sloughing off the top layer of skin. With continued use, I found the "dryness" went away. My adult-acne began to clear up. My skin looked smoother and more even-toned. It's important to know this is not a moisturizer in and of itself. In your skin-care routine, you would apply this after cleansing/toning. After it dries, you would then apply your regular moisturizer.
