Review on purchase - looks great and the supporting material is very informative. It is important that you take the time to read it to ensure you stay safe and avoid things that could delay your treatment (e.g don't use any product on your skin before using). I have not had any treatment like this before so I did not know what to compare it to, but from my experience it was painless and easy to use (if you read the material before hand to know what the noises and flashes are). I chose this product over the others on offer because of the built in safety, life time cartridge, large light area and good name of the company. It is a bit pricey compared to other products that look the same at first glance, but you get what you pay for and so far I feel this is money well spent.

I've tried 2 IPL machines already but this is the best. It's so easy to use - unlike other machines, you don't have to hold the device in a specific position to use it so it is easy to use around ankles and knees. Because the lamp area is a bit larger that normal, I found it was quite quick to do both my legs, about 20 minutes in total. You don't feel the heat from the device unless you are pressing too hard so it is more comfortable than opther similar devices. The machine is so simple to use, just switch it on, pick the frequency for your skin and hair type and off you go. It cools down quickly too. The device as a whole is quite small and easy to store.

The great thing about this is that you can use it on your face, unlike other machines. My husband is hoping to try it out on his face to cut down on shaving. I am lucky enough not to get facial hair but if I did I would not be worried about using this on it, it seems much gentler than other machines. Also, this machine does not...

The Beurer IPL 10000 is another in a line of IPL hair removers that are supposed to make going to have laser hair removal at a salon a thing of the past.

Unlike other large mains powered IPLs that we've tried, this is fairly simple to set up, has no 'safety' codes to type in and was up and running out of the box in a matter of minutes.

After carefully reading the instructions (you need to select the correct setting for your skin type) and testing on a piece of skin, my wife tried this out on her legs and her face. The large handled area is big enough to provide a good grip and was easy to move around the leg, but when it came to doing the face, the area of this handle was a little large to be anywhere near as precise as needed. It can be used on the face and would probably suit hair on the side, but it's a little fiddly for around the mouth.
