Very good but with a real caveat, 7 Feb. 2016

For the most part these are very good clippers. It is nicely presented, Included in the 5010 model is one adjustable cutting comb (with 8 length settings), a cleaning brush and some oil as well as the power cable (see below). With the comb attached the minimum cutting length is 3mm and I do know some may want a tighter cut. The only way to get that is to take the comb off (which is easy).

In use I found it very good indeed. It cut well and the comb was far easier to adjust and take off than some other clippers I've used over the years. I really do like the fact that the unit is washable too - not something I've had on clippers in the past. Were it not for one factor I'd say this unit really was excellent. However it is supplied with a 2 pin (round) plug. I've confirmed with Amazon that is the case and was told to use it on a shaver socket. All well and good if you have one (maybe don't buy this if you haven't) but my shaver socket is quite high up with nowhere to...

Easy, adjustable, professional hair clipper, 30 Jan. 2016

This brain hair clipper is no bigger than a compact shaver. The unit chargers quickly and gives consistent cutting when in use even on coarse thick hair. The unit assembles easily and the cutting guard is easily attached and doesn't move about or come away when in use so there should be no unnecessary guard slips. Sliding the length setting button into place is easy and it locks when length is.selected. The ease of changing the length will cut down on time when cutting hair with graduation and grading. The unit comes with clipper oil as well as a small brush to clean the blades.

The unit is easy to hold and feels solid in construction. It fits into the hand well and is easy to twist to ensure that all areas can be reached. The colour scheme is dark and makes the unit look more expensive that it is. This is a very reasonably priced hair clipper which looks good and gives good results to a professional standard. My friend who is a professional hair dresser has had a go using this...

Good Hair trimmer But With A Couple Of Issues, 18 Feb. 2016

As a hair trimmer it's good. Ergonomically it's a got a nice feel and it's comfortable to use. It does a good job with the 9 length settings. It charges reasonably quickly and holds the charge well. It can also be used whilst plugged in and recharging. However, I have 2 big issues and have deducted a star for each...

It only comes with a 2 pin shaver plug. If like me (and suspect most others) you don't have a shaver plug in your bathroom you can't charge it. So I ordered an adaptor from Amazon but 2 weeks later that's still not arrived (not the fault of Braun obviously). So I ended up finding one in a well known chain of bargain stores for just over a pound. Finally I can charge it. Is it too much to ask for either an adaptor or an extra lead with 3 pin plug? I recently got an electric toothbrush with a similar 2 pin shaver plug but they also gave you a second which charged off of a USB port/plug.

My second issue was after using it to trim my hair I...
