I ordered this product because I was told that it would helps with my psoriasis and dry skin. I checked local health stores but the price was double this and a little out of my price range, so I was disappointed. I have seen coconut products in discount shops locally but nothing as pure as this and they have had very little if any effect on my issues. I started off by rubbing this into my dry skin patches, eczema and any other areas I felt could benefit from some added moisture like knees, elbows etc. Firstly, it is very oily, so apply small amounts and don't just go mad because it melts fast and will be all over the place in seconds. Once rubbed in it smells fantastic and definitely feels softer than I had expected. Coconut oil is something I have only recently discovered and it has quickly become one of my favorite ingredients because of the vast amount of things it can be used for. The two main things that I have been using this for is for my hair and skin. Getting my hair to look healthy and shiny is really easy when using coconut oil, the oil is solid at room temperature so you take a small amount of the oil in your palm and rub it together and it soon melts from the heat from your hands, after this is simply run the oil through my hair and massage my scalp, I leave it on my hair for about an hour before rinsing it off in the shower as leaving it in leaves my hair looking too oily, however after rinsing it out still leaves my hair looking naturally shiny.

We have been using solidified Coconut Cooking Oil, bought from Makro, for many months on our hair and it is very good. When the manufacturer offered this dedicated product to test, I jumped at the chance. It can be used on hair, as a skin moisturiser and shaving oil etc etc. It comes in a large bottle, with a nice label. Using the product is very simple, you have to scrape some of the hard oil out of the jar, rub it in the hands and then use the melted oil. We have used it as a conditioner for the hair and I used it as a shave oil and on both accounts it works very well. It helps to mend split ends, whilst making the hair manageable and it does not leave a thick residue as you can get with leave in conditioners. For shaving, it leaves my face moisturised and protects it from razer burn. Overall this is a great product.
