How to clean EmaxDesign brushes:
1. Run the bristles of the brush under warm running water.
2. Apply a small amount of gentle shampoo to the bristles and work into a light lather.
3. Rinse the bristles thoroughly under running water. You will notice that the water leaving the brush is tinted from old makeup.
4. Continue rinsing until no color remains on the brush.
5. Allow the brush to air-dry.

This is a gorgeous brush set, having all the brushes you’ll need, from a large sweeping loose powder brush, some tapered shaping brushes right down to precision eye shadow brushes. The bristles are synthetic and should last a very long time with proper care, and they fit firmly into the metal holder with no shedding. That's really irritating when it happens and good quality brushes don't do it. The best way to clean these is to wash gently with a little shampoo or soap and rinse thoroughly, then air dry before putting away. Its important to ensure thoroughly dry before storing to avoid musty smelling brushes.

You get so many brushes in this set, I had to refer back to the listing to work out what each brush was designed for. Generally it is large for powder or blush and a flat one for foundation and the smaller ones are for eye make up. It suits me having so many as if a couple are being washed and dried you can make do with the others. It also means I can use one for blush and a separate one for bronzer and then another for powder and highlighter... so I am not mixing up the products on the brush. I do like to keep separate eye make up brushes for light and dark (and different) shades too so this enables a range of colours.
Each brush is very soft and made of synthetic materials (so no animal hair) which makes me happy as I prefer to opt for beauty without cruelty. I've had a number of disappointing make up brush sets described as 'professional' so I'm always a little sceptical of this when looking for new brushes. I was keen to see if this set would live up to their billing though.
The brushes arrive in a set of ten. They are packaged in individual plastic bags and are then inside black drawstring bag. This offers a convenient way of keeping all of the brushes together.
In the ten brushes you receive you should have all of your make up needs met. The included instruction manual will take you through each brush and explain it's use if you aren't familiar with it. the brushes are made from synthetic fibre which is black with a white tip.
