Do you ever have a problem with some kinds of dirt? Detergents and all the scrubbing doesn't help much?Try using good old fashioned Carbolic soap!. It shifts dirt where Cillit Bang won't. Soap shifts some kinds of dirt that modern 'high tech'cleaners won't. Carbolic soap does this, and sterilises surfaces as well. Don't believe me? Try using a bar of it on textured surfacesand faux leather furniture (rexine for us oldies). I chemist friend of mine says that all the problems of E-coli, MRSA and other bugs that exist in hospitals wouldn't be there if only they used carbolic soap. To be fair, there are of course, places where soap won't work - then is the time to use detergents.Its Horses for Courses. Watch the EU close this one.....

Brilliant / nostalgic product, if you liked Lifebuoy soap you'll love the smell of Falcon, but it's not just that, if you work in a trade or industry where you get down and dirty you'll want a soap that gets you REAL clean, {not just a perfumed soap that makes you smell clean} a good carbolic soap don't just get you clean but {as Lister found out} it will sanitise the skin. Do you need a soap to do more than that !!!

Fantasic price, and fantastic for cleaning everything from my body, to my clothes (with borax and soda crystals) the oven; man and save you a packet on stain remover.

There been some confusion on Amazon with this brand; let me assure you it's the real deal. There are loads of different brands of carbolic soap out there, Falon's soap is very luxurious it contains a generous 35% carbolic acid. What seems to cause the confusion is people don't realise Falcon add titanium dioxide; these soap are all natural and titanium dioxide is a good thing... it's the ingredient that makes these soap such a pleasure to bath or shower with by giving these soaps a very soft rich lather; the frothy white mass is pleasing to the eye.

Traditionally carbolic soap doesn't contain titanium dioxide and so doesn't have the white lather these soaps have which is probably the reason for the confusion by other reviewers. I like the scent from these soaps not has strong, slightly sweeter...
