I had thrush whilst breastfeeding and couldn't get an appointment with the doctor for days. I used this on my nipples in the meantime and it totally cleared it up. I felt almost instant relief. Be aware that baby's mouth and chin will turn purple too! It didn't last very long for us though - certainly not more than a couple of hours.

Excellent for use as a hair toner - mix a few drops into your standard bottle of white-coloured conditioner. I had enviously white hair for a while as a teenager thanks to a tip-off about Gentian Violet. I've now decided to revisit the white-hair look and this one works perfectly.The best way to handle it is by wrapping it up in paper towel and keeping it secure with an elastic. A bit crude but an effective sheild for staining! Also, use a cheap plastic syringe to slurp up a few drops - by far the best way I've found of making homemade toning conditioner. Much better than the expensive stuff in shops!
