Superb heater that maintains wax consistency, 25 Feb. 2015

Just brilliant. Not having to get up every few minutes to reheat the wax (had been putting the pot in water on the hob in a saucepan before), meant I could maintain position on my back with a towel and mirror throughout. Once hot, turning down to the medium setting as advised for consistent wax that remained gooey without being too hot, using only 1/3 of the pot for a full, yes a full, DIY "hollywood" style wax bar a thin "landing strip" on top. The best at home job I've ever done and it looked just like it does when I get it done professionally. Waxing is of course never the most comfortable thing but I much prefer the control I have doing it myself, even if it took me twice as long as the salon. Wish I'd bought this device sooner, and considering it comes with a pot of wax plus spatulas (ice cream / lolly pop sticks just as good when you run out :) it's a great deal. Worth every penny. Kept a bag by the side of me to deposit the used wax, no mess or dripping,...

This is great, the whole kit costs the same as going to get one wax done but I'll be able to get far more than one wax out of it. I've used it once and it worked really well, I'm a bit patchy in places but that's only because it was my first attempt and having never waxed myself before it was a bit of a trial run - now I've learnt the do's and dont's I won't need to go to a salon again and will continue to use this kit at home. Also used it with gigi pre epilation oil and post epilation lotion. Also had some aloe vera gel so put a load of that on as well. My skin feels nice and isn't sore. The instructions on the wax says to use gigi numbing spray - depending on how much of a girl you are depends on whether you will need this, but in my opinion doing the wax yourself is so much harder than somebody else doing it in terms of ripping it off so I think I will get some, as it will help me rip it off properly!

Great starter kit but......., 13 Oct. 2015

Loved it all, came quickly and promptly. Have used the wax twice now and can honestly say I find hard wax hard to use. I find it difficult to grab on to and pull off, always unsure of when to remove it conscious I don't want to leave it on too long as will dry and becomes incredibly hard to remove. Personally I think next time I will buy normally wax. But for a starter kit this is all you could need, takes a little while to heat up but you can always be getting on with something else in the mean time. Have to say the only thing that is missing is a scraper for the stick on the warmer. You need to wipe the stick or wax will get everywhere, have done this on the side of the pot, trying to be careful but obviously some wax has run down and now the tin of hard wax is stuck in the internal pot. Other then that excellent.
