Good sized gel polish curing lamp, 2 Sept. 2016

I'm quite new to gel so I'm trying to find the right lamp for me. I did find this lamp a little confusing as it appears to have both LED and UV lights but I'm not sure.

The lamp is a good size and you can fit your entire hand in it. There are buttons on the back for 15, 20 and 30 seconds but I did find that most gel polishes needed closer to a minute in this lamp. It does help if you warm the lamp up for a bit before you use it tho.

The lamp has a sensor so you just put your hand under and the lamp comes on which is super cool. Unfortunately the timers then don't work so you have to time it yourself. Which seems a bit pointless.

The lamp cured my polish well which is what you want. It also has a little guard that you can pull down over your hand, presumably to stop the UV light from getting out? Also the base is magnetic and pops off but again I'm not entirely sure of the point.

I was initially impressed with the lamp, it looks good and is a great size. However after using the lamp it is clear that there is a uv section which gets pretty hot during use. I would prefer a full led lamp and therefore won't be using this one any longer. It's a shame I wasted my money!!
