I've never been a lover of L'Oreal makeup in general, and in the past I have thought that their mascaras have really wet formulas which makes them prone to clumping, so their Miss Manga mascara has been a real surprise for me. I love the big, doll eyed look, and this mascara gives my lashes the mega volume, great separation and rich colour to make the look easy to achieve.

I've not experienced flaking or smudging, plus it holds my curl all day and is easy to remove. The volumizing abilities of this are unbeatable, plus the increase of length is good too - and since the brand doesn't promise any added length with this product, I think that this is a great added bonus.

The brush is a regular size with short bristles so I'm not forever hitting my socket line during application. Not a bright purple, 3 Aug. 2015

Not a big fan and wouldn't buy this particular mascara again (in any colour). It's not the worst mascara I have ever used and certainly in terms of smudge proof and thickening it does the job, however, I found this very clumpy. The first coat went on nicely but doesn't really add any volume by itself but then the second coat seemed to fight with the first coat, resulting in an overall clumpy effect. I think a good smudge proof mascara is hard to find, however, and this one definitely wins points for not smudging for a 12 hour day.

The purple colour is not bright at all and mostly looked just like any other dark mascara. People commented they could see the purple but this was only in sunlight and probably only because I asked if they could tell. The wand also has this bendy bit - totally pointless in my opinion and adds nothing to the application. There is also a noticeable smell - not sure if this is just because it was a different colour or if it is supposed to be...

Over the years I have tried, used and discarded so many mascaras that promise Huge Eyes, Thick Lashes, Super Coverage etc etc and, quite frankly, have yet to find one that lives up to its description. I have had plenty that I have found perfectly adequate but none that are superb or wonderful or The One.

This particular Miss Manga mascara does not come overloaded with too many promises thank goodness though Mega Volume is a trifle exaggerated. Yes it give good volume but needs about two coats, at least, before this is obvious. Easy to apply and the applicator has a narrow end so that you can actually get right into the tiny lashes in the corner of the eye and underneath. I put it on this morning. Took care with it because as I said you do not a couple of applications and was very pleased with the result. Stayed on all day. It is waterproof so rather difficult to remove. I use Vaseline to take my eye make up, have done for years as I find make up removers do not do a good...
