Quality product if used on natural dark hair Will not lift dark hair dyes. I used on my dark red hair which had previously been dyed black and it only lifted it to a mahogany shade. If u want bright red hair from a dark dyed colour u will need to strip and if the colour does not fully remove .. like if u have colour build up from black I'd suggest u prelighten and use a semi perm red. I tried with 40vol peroxide and my hair feels absolutely fine tho. Shiney and soft x
