My leg looks like a dead hedgehog., 27 April 2014

I bought this from Boots on special offer, and I'll be asking for a refund tomorrow.

The heating instructions are only for a 900 watt microwave, so I spent nearly 15 minutes doing extra 'heat for ten seconds, observe, test, repeat' cycle to get it up to temperature. I managed to get about five strips done before it needed heating again, and on those strips it didn't get everything off.

On the second heating I spent another four minutes of 'heat for ten seconds, observe, repeat' cycles, and again only managed to get a few strips on my leg before it was too cold and I was sick of the dratted stuff.

Much easier and less messy to either go to a salon (or a local training school- the college in my town does beauty therapy classes, and you can get a half leg, bikini and underarm wax there for the same price as this tub) or get the stuff that uses cloth strips.

I've given up, it's just not worth the effort, although in its defence it is a long while since I've waxed my...

As far as microwaveable wax goes, this one is one of the less effective ones I have tried. It just doesn't pull out all the hairs. I use it on my underarms, and it is fairly painless (always a bonus!) but leaves you with half the hairs still there, even after repeatedly smoothing it on, it just doesn't get all the hairs. I do usually have to pluck a few hairs anyway after waxing, but with this wax, I end up having to shave too straight after the wax. Not ideal!

I keep on buying this product again and again. I use it for under arms and bikini line only. It works great. You need to warm it up 2min in the microwave, then let it cool down a bit and apply it. No waxing bands. The scent is pleasant. It is more expensive than other brands or nair products but is by far superior.
