Lovely gift set in a sturdy carry case., 5 Sept. 2015

This is a really nice Nivea gift set that comes in a quite impressive, sturdy, purple zippered leatherette style vanity case that is lined and has a carry handle.

It comes with seven (not 5, as listed) Nivea products:

Powder Touch Anti-Perspirant 150ml, which claims 48hrs protection, is quick dry and leaves skin feeling soft. It contains Kaolin powder. It has a twist top locking mechanism, so you can pop it in your bag and it won't accidentally go off and spray inside your bag!

Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser 250ml, claim of "with HYDRA IQ", the formula supposedly promotes a non stop moisture supply from within the skin, supporting the skin's own water channels to enhance moisturisation. You will have to take Nivea's word for that one... I always personally take some of these claims with a pinch of salt! Also claim's deep moisturisation with a long lasting feel. Pleasant and well considered Nivea set but quite expensive at rrp, 3 Sept. 2015

Nivea Skin care products have been popular in my household for a long time - although maybe not a firm favourite, our experience is that they are effective and reasonably priced with a long heritage behind them. This gift set comes in a rather fine case that should last longer than the products inside and contains an appealing feminine product selection - a few of which my wife will share with me as they are sufficiently neutral (the Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser in particular is an excellent product we both like).

However, apart from the shower puff and head band and the case itself, I can find the rest of the products for a total of about £21 on this site at the present time. Here's some links so you can see for yourself and look at individual product reviews.

One for the ladies, 4 Sept. 2015

Well, this looks a nice gift set for the girl of your dreams (or yourself). Whilst the photos on the product page show five items, there are in fact seven included. Shower oil (250ml), deodorant (150ml), moisturising cream (250ml); body moisturiser (250ml), pearly lip shine (4.8g), a shower puff and a headband. All of it comes in a smart looking mauve round vanity case.

Everything you need to make yourself presentable is here but it's a shame that the contents were seemingly chucked in the case to rattle around. It would have been far better had there been sections for the contents. Fortunately, Nivea has seen fit not to splash their name across the case, so when you've exhausted everything inside, you can use it for other things. Others please note.

The price tag might seem expensive to some but not to others (and gift sets do tend to be dearer than buying the items separately). It's all subjective, and with 112 shopping days until Christmas from the date of...
