Perfect Present or Stocking Filler, 3 Sept. 2015

This is an absolutely beautiful set which would make a perfect gift or even a stocking filler at Christmas. I buy a lot of Nivea Gift Sets and especially at Christmas time as you will see from my past reviews and so this has been wonderful to get to test out one of their newly updated sets.

The set come beautifully packaged and is presented in a lovely two tone purple cardboard box which has octagonal sides and so this really makes the set stand out to normal rectangular or square packages. I shall add some pictures over the next few days to show how gorgeous the set actually is and I am sure I will be buying some sets myself in the future as gifts for family and friends.

Shower fresh, moisturising products inside thin box., 10 Sept. 2015

Little bit disappointed there's no wash bag included with what's basically a shower set. Presentation box looks good but is made of thin card that soon bends out of shape and, unlike most other Nivea gift sets, can't be re-used. Mine was battered by the time it arrived even packed inside a thick Amazon cardboard box. You might want to consider that if you're ordering online to give as a gift. Nothing wrong with the products but the box was a let down.Inside the box; two full sized Nivea products, 1 x 250ml bottle of Powerfruit Revitalising Acai Berry Shower Gel and 1 x 250 ml bottle of In-Shower Body Mosituriser, plus a shower puff.Shower gel and moisturiser have a light, fresh scent and are pleasant to use. I particularly like the in-shower moisturiser which rinses off to leaves even dry skin like mine smooth and soft. The shower puff isn't harsh and helps to exfoliate the skin ready for the moisturiser.4* products let down by 3* presentation.

It's been a while since I've tried Nivea products as I got tired of the 'traditional' smell I'd grown up with for years as my mother used it for everything and anything - "got a cold love?- try some Nivea" "broken your leg - oh don't worry Nivea will mend it!" - so I've sort of always steered clear of it when possible. However, I was attracted to this gift set with it's eye-catching purple and white sunburst design. While the contents are somewhat standard for this type of set, I must confess it's really REALLY grown on me. For starters the puff is soft - soft, people, hear me - SOFT. I say this loudly because I've recently bought a new puff on its own from a well known high street supermarket that's nearly taking the skin off me on every shower, as it's just so hard & rough.
