I've been shaving since I was 12. I'm now touching 40. That's a long time to be in pain each and every time you shave. And in pain I was. No matter what I did or what shaving creams, lotions, potions or razors I used my skin would blister and flare up every single time and take a day or 2 to settle back down.

I've tried alsorts over the years and as of late settles on a single blade safety razor which was the best of a bad bunch.

I was lay in bed a few nights ago reading when an advert popped up on the screen for the Philips oneblade. The revolutionary new razor from Philips. They went through all the marketing hype, explaining how amazing it is and how it won't irritate the skin.

I was sceptical as always but started to look online at this razor.

It looked impressive and the marketing tactics were convincing me..

I decided to bite the bullet and I found a decent deal on Amazon which included a spare blade (blades are expensive at around £12...

Great. No razor burn (which I get all the time from a regular razor). Use for wet shave, but I dont like dry shaving anyway. Excellent product, really recommend.

Definitely the least irritating shave I've ever had. As for the razor itself, it's probably the best one I've used, and shaves perfectly, no worries about a cut, I use it every 2-3 days.

The razor is very easy to clean, and doesn't get blockages, there is no assembly required, ready to use once you open it up.

Battery life is excellent. The charge duration lasts about 45 minutes, so I generally could use the OneBlade for a whole week before needing to charge it for 3 hours. The OneBlade is capable of shaving in both directions. To get a better shave, you have to push firmly against the skin and shave against the grain in long, slow swipes. The OneBlade also worked well for edging.

This thing is super compact as well and will be great to travel with. No more carrying around a big clunky unit when I have to leave town.

Honestly, I can't think of any flaws with the razor, and will probably get one for my Brother in the next few months for his...
