I honestly can't understand why anyone would write a negative review on this product. Those who washed them and found they broke up, must have been washing them with a cheese grater. I've had mine since February now and I've washed it countless times and it's still prefect. Blends your foundation, concealer, blush, contouring and setting powder beautifully. I'll definitely be buying another one when I throw mine away.

The wife says this is brilliant. Best spongy thing she has used for applying stuff. She seems to have lots of other spongy stuff which will probably now go in the bin. Or I could use them to touch up scratches on my car. Not this one though - this is the "ferrari of sponges' she says.

I was warned off using sponges by a make-up artist once, as she said they soak up too much of the product. But having liked so many other Real Techniques items, and seeing the cheaper price on Amazon I threw it in my basket on a whim.I still first apply foundation with a brush, then use this sponge to blend and add any more needed for particularly red areas - the design really helps with this as you can use the pointed end to "focus".I'm a convert! No more tell-tale "I had five minutes to do my make up this morning" streaks, and my foundation seems to last longer. In fact my foundation actually looks like skin - which is huge for someone with rosacea!
