The Remington MPT3800 Detail Trimmer is a really good tool that performs really well.

It is based on an older design which has been tried and trusted and the Remington People have looked at the design and come up with a new way to improve on the design.

This has given the trimmer a new twist and has really given a genuine improvement.

This is an excellent trimmer and is doddle to use.

I am an older male who has had to resort to using nasal hair trimmers both for the nose and ears.

I've used numerous types.

This trimmer was provided to me by Amazon Vine to review but I have experience.

Earlier this year I bought another Remington hair trimmer very similar in action and style and found it to be excellent, efficient at trimming, easy to use and easily washable which is very important.

This design has the improvement in that the neck is flexible making it easier to follow the contours of the area to be trimmed.

Cheap and cheerful, design is poorly thought out, 19 April 2014

This little gadget definitely does what it's supposed to, with ease. However, it feels like it should cost less than a tenner: the power switch is particularly cheap and nasty. There will be people out there who don't mind about this as it does what it's supposed to do.The main reason for giving this three stars rather than four is that the 'comb head' (which sits on top of the blades to control the length of the cut and separate the hairs) doesn't fit under the cover. This means you can't keep it on the device when you store it - it is bound to get lost, and it's a rather essential part.If you don't mind these shortcomings, I can recommend this trimmer. Otherwise, I have reservations.

Looks really cheap and insubstantial but this is actually a very good little trimmer - blades cut really quickly and cleanly, up your nose, in your ears, sideburns, eyebrows, wherever. There is also a tiny cutter on the reverse of the head for really fine detailed work. The head is flexible so you can adjust the angle for comfortable cutting, and illuminates with a yellow light when turned on. On/off switch is very small and a bit fiddly with my fat fingers, but once you have the knack it's ok in use.There is a trimming guide that slips over the cutting head that you can swap between 'short' and 'long' simply by turning it over - I would rather it clicked positively onto the head, but it just pushes on and off.Overall very pleased with this
