Great but not for me, 16 April 2014

I have always wanted to have an effective electric shaver, but have hitherto always found them somewhat underwhelming. Having tried other Remington, Braun, and Philips shavers I have always struggled with post-shave irritation. The bad news is that I still have the same problem with this Remington, the good news it is much less severe than with other shavers.

The shaver comes well packaged in a cardboard box with the usual divides etc inside. It is both easy to open and easy to set-up with charger, shaver & cap, and cleaning brush all included, but sadly no carry bag. The shaver itself is the usual plastic, which makes it feel a little cheaper than some of the Braun shavers I have used, but it still feels like it is good quality.

In terms of performance, the three rotary shaving heads work well, and similarly to the same shaped Philips shaves, they are supposed to contour to the face/neck to allow an easy shave. However, as with the Philips, this never actually...

over-priced for what it is, 12 Mar. 2014

I am very familiar with the world of men's electric shavers, having tried out various brands and models. This one is ok. It has a novel cutting action. One is used to the 3 spinning cutters on the Philishave models; this one is similar, but there are two circles of cutter on each of the three cutting pads rather than just one on each of the 3 as seen on Philips models. The Remington solution works well for a dry shave. It's not for wet shaves. It charges ok, no problem there. The finish is not as premium feeling as the Philips models. It comes with just a little cleaning brush, cutter head protective cover, and charger. If you are looking for an affordable but effective multi-use model for wet and dry shaves, rather than this one from Remington (retailing direct from Amazon now for sixty-four pounds! Not worth the money.), I'd recommend

Not the best, 16 April 2014

Whilst this Remington shaver does provide a decent shave it does come lacking in features. It has no power indicator to warn of low battery or how much charge you have left, no travel case and takes longer to charge than most models. This would all be fine if the price reflected it, but it isn't that cheap and much better models can be bought for similar money on Amazon.
