Much Better Than A Manual Foot File, 18 Mar. 2015

I do have a tendency to build up really hard and thick skin on my heels, which, as it is rather dry can develop into unsightly and painful cracks. Up to now I have used a Ped Egg, which is a manual implement and which works rather like a cheese grater. It is reasonably effective with effort. However, if that is like a grater, then this implement is definitely an electric sander!

This foot file comes in rather inconvenient packaging that you have to cut away, so no chance of keeping it to store the implement in unfortunately. It is very simple, having only two settings – on and off. Powered by four AA batteries (supplied), you have to unscrew the bottom to remove the plastic tags which protect the batteries prior to initial use. I am not sure how long the batteries will last as it is rather a vigorous action and the batteries are not rechargeable.

The Scholl Velvet Smooth Diamond (*) Pedi Extra Coarse Power Hard Skin Remover is a long name for such a small device.

But it actually works and it works well.

Over the years I've bought and reviewed hard skin removers and I've received a few of these devices to test and review from Amazon. So I have a little experience of the benefits of these machines.

They all are much of the same BUT I guarantee that when you actually get one and use it you too will be amazed at just how good the results are

When you reach a certain age this is one of the things you develop along with.... Well I don't need to go into that here do I?? I was quite frankly amazed with the results.

After singing the praises of this machine I persuaded my wife to try it.

Now she does have hard skin from years of Badminton, squash and sports.

The results were excellent also so we are both converts to this form of getting hard skin...

not worth the money !, 9 Oct. 2015

Very attractive gimick, creates lots of dust like powder but doesn't actually get rid of the hard skin, I prefer my newtinl chiropody sponge as I get better results and its a lot cheaper than this. Not worth the money, sorry scholl.
