As someone who is fairly familiar with hair removal products I was really interested to find a hair reduction system that is specifically aimed at the chaps. With a willing volunteer we set about using - you will need to shave the area in question first and make sure that you do a patch test - I highly recommend doing this as some people have a delayed reaction to using this sort of semi permanent hair reduction. This can be used on different skin tones but the ideal candidate is someone with pale skin abd darker hairs as the machine works by essentially heating up and damaging the follicle.
This machine is so very easy to use - I like how it looks and feel that it is less marauding than similar IPL systems that tend to be gun shaped despite its black colour. The shape is comfortable to use and designed to be used by the person wanting to reduce hair - but is a lot easier to have a willing friend do bits like shoulders abd your back.

I wouldn’t normally consider buying anything like this but, when offered one for review, my curiosity got the better of me and I thought I’d give it a try. For your £300, it certainly looks like a high-end product. The device itself is a bit larger and heavier than I expected, and looks something like a Star Trek phaser, but it’s easy enough to grip and use one-handed.
I should say I don’t normally do much, if any, body hair removal. I had initially thought to use it on my beard area, to avoid the need for shaving, but this is apparently not recommended since the effects may be permanent (p. 13 of the manual). This is slightly odd as ‘permanent’ hair removal is normally supposed to require monthly ‘top up’ applications. In any case, I’ve not tried it on my face or neck.

The SmoothSkin for Men IPL Permanent Hair Reduction System is essentially a redesigned version of existing IPL hair reduction systems that have been released for women. I have used several of these systems, and they are good at what they do, so we decided to try this version on my husband's hairy back. Now this is the first thing you need to take note of - unless you are a very flexible man, you will need someone to help you with this. Women generally can manage their own IPL systems, because they use them on legs, etc, where they can readily see the area. For a man using this on his back, it would be nigh on impossible on their own. Be sure to acquire yourself a willing helper.
