Could not believe the price but it is the genuine article, 7 Oct. 2014

I was looking for a new hair dryer as a Christmas present for my wife. Decided not to leave it just incase the EU ban hair dryers over 900w before Christmas.I did a bit of research as she is very fussy about hair dryers, weight, size, cord length and so on. Several women's magazines rated this dryer as the best. With a few commenting on the price being a bit high. So I was in disbelief when I found someone selling them here for under £30. Especially as direct via Amazon it's over a hundred.I ordered one half expecting it to be a copy but it was not and upon opening and testing it looks deserve the number one rating from the magazines. It does not feel heavy and claim to be lightweight on the box. It is not to large but kicks out tons of hot air from the get go.Really happy with the purchase.

My overall impression of this dryer is that it looks and feels cheap. The main body of the dryer arrived looking scuffed, the diffuser and concentrator were both poorly finished and already scratched and strands of someone else’s hair were caught in the rear vent. Not a great first impression.

As mentioned before, the diffuser and concentrator were already scratched on arrival, although that could be down to having been used by someone before I received the item. But the plastic feels brittle and lightweight and, even if assessed to be up to the job, it doesn’t inspire confidence in me as the end user.

The dryer is reasonably weighty in the hand and made from a tactile plastic for the most part. It has a flexible sheath forming the base of the handle and covering the connection for the lead, which might increase the safety aspect of using the appliance but cheapens the finish of the dryer, particularly as it gapes along the join with the main body...

This is not something that I'd have thought of buying but I'm not disappointed, 17 July 2015

My old hairdryer has packed in so I was really appreciative of being offered this one.

I wouldn’t normally pay this amount for a hairdryer so it’s not something I’d have thought about buying. I had to read the instruction leaflet to see what all the switches and lights were for and had to find somewhere to store it because it wouldn’t fit in the space I have at present, so it’s with my pots and pans!!

As I have short hair I haven’t been able to get away with the diffuser. I used the lowest heat setting with the highest speed and then used the ‘styling’ part. At first I couldn’t see any difference, but after a few goes (twice a week) I did notice my hair was less ‘course’ and more ‘fluffy’ and shiny. It also didn’t tend to stick up on a morning.
