hese are good Replacement Blades.

As these are replacement blades it makes more sense to comment on the actual razor that holds them.

So please bear with me.

Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Razor Blades are good and excellent value if you are able to use a blade cleaning system to prolong the life of the blades many times over.

But the 3 blade Hydro are just as good in my opinion and they actually seem to be able to be re sharpened better.

They do beat Gillette into a cocked hat.

I should also add that they can be bought in packets of 8 and so on so to get the best value per blade you ned to get the calculator out.

If you are like me and actually resharpen- well in fact all you are doing is removing the build up of debris that dulls the blade- then the blades outlast unsharpened ones by up to ten times so a pack of 4 makes sense.

I like them because they give a really great shave.

Thought I would try the maximum edge, 26 Feb. 2016

Thought I would try the hydro with the maximum edge, the marketing blurb states that the handset, blade, moisturizing reservoir have all been redesigned, it seems similar enough to earlier models that I have used from Wilkinson sword and that is to say that its a good blade, keeps its edge, provides a good shave without having to go over the same contours or areas of the face repeatedly.

The moisturizing reservoir is the main selling point of this razor in my opinion, it is what makes it different to other razors, rivals and alternatives. I like it a lot of this reason and do think its what makes the difference. The size of the razor head is bulky, I've gone on record with much earlier reviews that I dont think its possible to get better than some of the earlier double bladed gillettes, or more recently the gillette power ball for a close shave in a single brush around the contours of your face.
